SUPPORT THE CALL FOR THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT TO RECONSIDER THE SITING OF A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT AT BANTAMSKLIP

Bantamsklip, found at the Southern tip of the African continent is a globally recognized center of biodiversity and endeminism. It is presently a registered protected area, lying adjacent to the Agulhas National Park and to the most valuable marine ecosystem in Africa, the Dyer Island Nature Reserve and Great White Shark Marine Sanctuary.

Save Bantamsklip

You can support our call by signing this petition:

A nuclear power plant and the resulting power lines on this site would threaten the endangered species found in the area and undermine the protected area status of the region. Furthermore it would destroy the livelihoods of virtually everybody dependent on the natural environment of the area and seriously impact on the sustainable tourism industry of the Cape Whale and Fynbos routes.
